Back from the quick trip to Morocco. Back from the hectic souks of Marrakech, from the massive Atlas mountains with its minarets rising from the small villages that fill its steep slopes and narrow valleys, from the calm and relaxed Eassouira.
There’s lot of work still has to be done, photos to be processed and stories to be put together, something common to my previous long and short trips and that led me to having several months of photos to process. But this time I’ll try something differently, while not promising to speed up my workflow (but hoping to to so) I browsed the photos and picked some, not as a final version but an first preview.

Elderly man at leaving the souk at Marrakech.
One of the interesting of photographing in the souks is that many of the narrow streets are partially or totally covered to protect from the harsh Sun. This creates lots of interesting areas of light and shadow to play with.

Night sky at the Atlas, close to the Toubkal. Even with full moon the sky is filled with stars.

Village in the Atlas mountains.

Curvy road going to one of the many small villages at the Atlas mountains.

Souks of Marrakech.

Early morning at Essaouira, the city of white walls and blue doors, before shops open and streets get crowded.

Omar, a berber from Merzouga I met at Essaouira.

Lots of cats in the streets of moroccan cities. I found this one at Essaouira

Monkeys, musicians, storytellers, street food, That’s the Jema El-Fnaa square

Tourists fill the many terraces with a view to Jema El-Fnaa square at sunset, a travel ritual of Marrakech.
