A friend told me sometime ago that since I’ve stopped sending my newsletter she stopped knowing what I was doing. I still have that newsletter, but the last time I’ve sent something was by the time of my São Tomé exhibit, a long time ago. And that digest I sent every month or so was a very cosy way to get my updates.
The fact this friend of mine closed her Facebook account doesn’t help that she stopped seeing some of my updates, but the truth is that nowadays the reach of a Facebook post (or Instagram photo, and so on…) is marginal, unless you pay it… I feel even people with accounts, that actually want to follow, are missing out on lots of stuff from me.
All this means that, instead of asking you to turn on the notifications on Facebook, I’ll ask you to join me in my newsletter, with the promise I’m getting it back on track again, and every once in a while send you my latest photo activity. I’m about to start with it, sharing previews from my latest domestic trips and the ongoing processing of last year’s India trip, but I’ll hang on a bit until you register.
