Here’s some of the interesting links that caught my attention in the last month, and from now on I’ll start to pick a photo just to brighten the links posts, otherwise it will be too boring.

A very moving long-term photo essay, and very proud to listen the tunes of my friend Luís Costa.

Who shot the photographer? – ImageBrief
A neat infographic from ImageBrief about the state of digital photography and stock. Nothing really new or surprising, but still interesting.
POV: Monochrome…A Phase In Life? – The Travel Photographer
I have mixed feelings about shooting in b&w, recently while talking to a friend he was arguing against b&w. I don’t agree entirely with him, sometimes color is too distracting and adds nothing to a photo, but he had his point: for many b&w is an easy way while taking a photo, a way not to think about it.
I also remember a Magnum photographer recently on a photo lecture I organized, saying he ways sorry while showing his color photos, but he shot black and white all his career and was still discovering what worked for him in color photography.
As for myself, I alternate between b&w and color the same way I alternate between outdoor and street photography. Sometimes I find myself shooting and converting old photos to black, while others I get addicted to color. I guess I those are my aesthetic phases.
