Has been almost two and half years since I’ve been at São Tomé, the lush small island placed over the equator at the Gulf of Guinea. I always had something in mind with the output of my short trip there, other than the digital showcase, and actually an exhibit was already planned for some time. The time to put this to work has finally come, and for the whole month of May (and first days of June) a small sample of everyday life on the island will be beautifully showcased at the lovely Palavra de Viajante bookstore, from the fishing villages to the many “roças”, the decaying cocoa or coffee plantations that survive in a numb state.
Let me know if you plan to attend, I might me able to show up and share some stories.
