A few days after my last photowalk of 2010, my last “hunting session” of the year where I packed my arsenal and went to the wild looking for the prey (actually it was a calm riverside scene), I had one of those opportunities where it pays to pack the photo gear for non photographic trips. Due to a recent tornado the street lights at my families’ small village had been very unstable last month, which gave me the rare opportunity to shoot some old stone houses only using the moonlight and my small flashlight. The problem: it was late December, which meant almost two hours of shooting in bellow zero temperatures.
